Two Types of Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are essential for our body since it is a major source of energy. Carbohydrates provides our body the needed energy for our daily activities and for the proper organ function. There are two types of carbohydrates these are the simple and complex carbohydrates. 

Simple Carbohydrates. This are also known as simple sugars that can be found in refined sugars,fruits and milk. Simple sugars found in fruits and milk are the good choice because they contain vitamins fiber and calcium.

Complex Carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates are also known as starches. Starches can be found in grain products like bread pasta and rice. When choosing food to eat always consider buying unrefined grains because this food still contain vitamins and minerals unlike the refined grains which have been already processed that removes vitamins and minerals. Furthermore, unrefined grains contains fiber that helps our digestive system work well. Fiber intake is also advisable for people who are trying to lose weight.
